Five clean sheets compared to 15 last year. Our next game is the first of a new decade, let's hope it's a better decade than the last one. I expect (demand) that the IN/OUT stats will be very busy during the next two or three weeks. I do not want to see a load of barrel scrapings arriving on January 31st.

12 points from the last 18. If we can keep that form, we will finish on 57 points and, hopefully, avoid relegation. Fingers crossed.

I have little to add to the comments which appear in other "reaction" threads. Abysmal.

Lainton saved us from a mauling (actually, we were mauled but he kept the scoreline looking almost reasonable) and Young was the only outfield player with any interest in actually fighting for the ball and should have earned MoM. Carrington, who was awarded MoM, put in his usual steady performance but Young was the man for me. Jennings? Words escape me.

DK will, no doubt, hide behind the "now I have a month to bring in the players I need and ship out those I don't" excuse, but I fear the likely structure of the squad, and our league position, by the time we play Dagenham and Redbridge on the 1st of February.

Patrick and Reid both end their loan periods today, I gather Patrick is leaving and no news on a Reid extension. Both our 1st year pros, Sargent and Thorne, return from their loans today.

Finally, a sliver of light between us and the drop spots, but there is still a lot to do before we can get comfortable.
