I get what you're saying, but away from home we should be taking that to the corner and wasting 30 seconds minimum. You do all you can to run down the clock, waste time, play for throw ins, use your 3 subs ect. Basic game management away from home which we did none of Tuesday and paid for. A great performance that was thrown away unfortunately

A lot of people seem to be blaming Hughes for poor game management but was that example Hughes or Rutherford not staying on message? Are we just always going for the knock out final goal or shutting it down.

It's down to the management in part and also players decision making. Rutherford should know better for a player of his experience.

I personally would have brought Macintosh and Oswell on. Macintosh to chase down and oswell for physical presence and to hold on to the ball.

Its tiresome.

The fact that the only thing that the tinted specs mob can defend him with is the fact that he runs around a lot as you have done here, speaks volumes when you consider he's meant to be an attacking player.

How about he actually does the job of attacking, what he's paid for i.e. creating and scoring goals? Ground breaking stuff I know.

He's a Sheep dog. Runs around a lot but never attacks.

He didn’t even look up. He just looped it up in the air. It’s simply not enough at our level.
