Re: Boreham Wood ratings
Grant was outstanding in the last 20 minutes, he was a 8 for me. So many players had good performances tonight, I cannot understand how we didn’t get 3 points.
Redmond and I hate to say Hooper were 5/6s. Finding their feet hopefully. |

I don’t understand the substitution at 2-0 bringing off redmond and bringing on Rutherford. Why not bring on chambers and shut up shop!?

But it was ‘genius’ on Saturday to bring Ruthers on to ‘see the game out’ |

2-0 up away from home with 10 mins to go. I’m sorry, but surely you bring on a defender to see the game out? |

Surely bringing an extra defender on invites more pressure? |

Boreham wood went from 5 at the back and switched to 4-3-3 when they went 2-0 down. 3 strikers against 4 defenders plus there midfielders were pushing on. We were inviting pressure anyway |

Dibble 8
Carrington 6 Lawlor 5 Pearson 7 Jennings 6 Summerfield 7 Young 8 Redmond 5 Grant 8 Harris 7 Hooper 6 Pluses were some great saves from Dibble, Young and Summerfield being very good in possession and Grant looking like a completely new player compared to last season. Negatives were Lawlor looking shaky, Redmond looking out of sorts, Hooper having minimal impact, and obviously as a whole conceding two late goals and throwing away a couple of points. It might be early days but it all comes down to fine margins at the end of the season and those 2 points could have been precious. That said, I wouldn't have been too disappointed with a point beforehand but to let a lead slip like that is quite deflating. We definitely look more potent going forward though, I'm very confident that this season will be a lot more watchable than the previous few. |
