Re: Celebrating Mark Carrington.
He is mr average playing in an average team (upto now) hence why we are still in the conference. You won't win the title with him playing every week. We have signed that jazzi fella who is probably going to be first choice rb.

Re: Celebrating Mark Carrington.
I can recall a time some people referred to him as dog *****.
I admit it was at a time when he played in midfield , but it just goes to show how a very very decent squad player can slowly get recognition for all he has given to Wrexham FC !! Probably the reference to Mel Sutton is quite appropriate

Re: Celebrating Mark Carrington.
Phil's assessment has merit in that Carra is nowhere near our top players, yet in many ways he is 'the best of the rest'
I have never seen him give less than 100% - he is committed and loyal. At this level he is well above ave. and to top it all has had two excellent games to start the season and is worth his place on merit. Thanks and respect to a great clubman. Re: Celebrating Mark Carrington.
All clubs have a spectrum of characters, the leaders, the prima donnas, the flair players etc...they all need a steady Eddie too and Mark’s ours. I never dread seeing his name on the team sheet....unless it’s in midfield

I hardly slated him either, just gave an eyes wide open opinion to in my view correct foxy's glowing assessment. 7 managers who were ultimately wrong though because they all failed to get us promoted. You need to think things through properly because that's two face palms in one post. Before any more self appointed forum Gestapo officers get their knickers in a twist I think he's fine at full back, FOG is right he can play left or right equally well which is great to have. In fact when in filled in for Jennings I thought he was better than Jennings there, so maybe that's where he should be played more, to keep Jennings on his toes so to speak. |
