It’s “give the head a wobble time” for those fans who still insist on calling him “Bobby” as some kind of term of endearment. He is ‘Grant’ just as Bishop was “Bishop” and Boden was “Boden” Terms of endearment should be reserved for those who are putting in the effort to repay fans who have spent £20 to get in and more to get there - the likes of Rutherford, Carrington, Pearson, Jennings , Young, Summerfield etc. |

Re: Dover (A) reaction thread
It seems conceding late goals has been a common trait of ours over recent years, and often from winning positions.
How many of us can honestly say, when an equaliser goes in against us with around 15-20mins to go, that you don't feel that underlying dread that we concede again and lose. Lo and behold, a late gut-wrenching goal is conceded. It had happened far too often, so surely it would suggest an underlying problem. To me it seems the players lack the confidence to see a game out, lacking the belief to manage the game properly, defend solidly as a unit and not give possession away cheaply. The mentality seems to be all wrong. Is it lack of guidance in order to manage the game and see it out? Is it lack of mental toughness from individuals within the team? Lack of leaders that can galvanise and get everyone organised? It's probably all or a combination of the above. It saddens me to say but I don't see it changing or improving with our current management team. |

Re: Dover (A) reaction thread
Agree. By the end of January there will be yet another “meet the manager” evening. Complete with a little joke to start from Pete Jones about how frequent these evenings are, and then followed by lots of “you will die” glares from the Nodding Dogs , aimed at anyone who is off message. And so it goes on....
