Re: Cost to club of police
I thought it would be more, surely the Welsh FA cover the Wales fees.

i hought would of been more also... although i guess goin by those if the average bill is conservativly about 1.8-1.9k (not all games will bring many to us so guessing average) then it all adds up over course of th season |
Re: Cost to club of police
We're they expecting the Trinidad front line to come into town or something?
And why would you ask for match attendances in a FOI? Just google it! |
Re: Cost to club of police
Could it be based on the away fans , i see Newport and Chesterfield highest and Salford lower cause they got no fans .

Re: Cost to club of police
You'll notice that the same charge was applied for both the Chesterfield & Newport fixture.
In all probability there will be a set agreement between the club and local police dependent on the perceived risk of each individual fixture including previous history, recent trends. segregation, size of away support, kick off time and other factors such as how many security staff or other control measures the club have at their disposal such as CCTV. These two fixtures probably fell in the 'medium' risk category. Obviously if we had played the likes of Chester or Tranmere the charges would be increased 'massively' for a higher risk game. Agree about the International game - this should not be paid for by the club. The Salford fixture fell on a bank holiday (boxing day) and although relatively low risk it would have required all staff working at an overtime / enhanced bank holiday rate - that's why we never really want to be playing a higher risk fixture such as our fixture v Stockport County on a bank holiday - additional staffing costs would be much greater and swallow up potential additional monetary profits generated by a bigger bank holiday crowd coming through the turnstiles. It's not just the police costs on a bank holiday but all other service providers and staff 'usually' work a BH at an additional enhanced rate. |
