BB looked rusty but came into the game, McIntosh looked completely lost well out of his depth, Hooper looked a little lazy but you can see has a bit of something about him, Redmond looks nowhere near fit.

Great first half of football how it should be played, we just seem to lack a clinical finisher in the box, Jennings put some good crosses in.

I don't get the slagging of Summerfield first half he played well like the majority of the team he ran out of steam and his passing went tits up should of gone off.

Agree Young was immense as was Harris who would of been my MOM..the slowness of putting subs on nearly cost us, the sending off was down to Lawlor being dead on his feet and looked it for half of second half, I'm wondering if his shoulder is right. The red he was exposed on his own he looked to push the forward so had to go off, (just a note if it was Grant he would of been hung)

I thought Pearson looked shaky and Dibble puts you on edge he was lucky they didn't equalise when he dropped a ball at their strikers feet late on.

Credit Halifax who nearly went bust pre-season they defended well when we were on top.

All in all we deserved the win but as other's have said need a leftwinger unless McIntosh was just rusty but he looked lost.

Be a tough game at Notts Co let's hope we can keep 12 on the pitch.

But hey its good to go to a game and be entertained again.

After watching that I don't get the constant wrist slashing on here last Saturday.

Great report. It says a lot when you’ve been entertained at the Racecourse. More of that please.

If we can sneak an extra player on for every game we have a real chance. With two sent off already this season we may need the extra man!

It was an excellent save as it also took a deflection. 10 is of course over the top but thought he was more like a 7. Never lets us down but does not inspire the same confidence as Lainton.

Definitely not a 10 mate no. For a keeper to have a 10 it needs to be an onslaught and a one man show, which it definitely wasn’t. Still though he had a decent game and the save I mentioned was of good quality. I would give him a strong 7.

You`reQuick to mention Dibble`s drop , But no mention of 3 excellent saves, specially the one in the first half low to his left , But if someone doesn't take to a player they will always look for something

He was solid as a rock and made a superb save first half.

Their keeper was something else though, absolutely massive but able to get down quickly to save several times.

He has played well but it’s a concern that he is so busy. It’s the first time I have seen us this season and I couldn’t believe how open we were at the back. As a consequence Lawlor looked exposed and even Pearson seemed to be just hanging on. If we don’t tighten up there is a danger that we will suffer heavy defeats when we play the better sides.

About time the captain took instructions from the bench during a game, and the instruction to hold the ball up was clearly given to Rutherford who didn’t go to Pearson but went to Summerfield, 30 seconds later Oswell was holding it up on the left.

Harris had a good game and deserves the plaudits for scoring a cracking goal, which was made by a strong Hooper and lovely pass by Rutherford. Harris put a number of crosses into the stand but he will be a constant thorn in the side of defences.

Motm from me was Young, best I have seen him play.

Summerfield played well in the first half but they closed him down quicker in the second and he was caught out on numerous occasions.

Dibble played well he made some good saves and hopefully his first of many clean sheets this season.

Red card was harsh with some of what went on unpunished, striker didn’t have the ball under control and seemed to checked his speed drawing the contact, having said that lawlor and Pearson were both caught out. I don’t think this will be the last time their lack of pace will cause issues. They need a walker type player in front of them.

One of the most enjoyable games I have seen for some time, long may it continue.
