It has to be Chambers in next match. This league breeds giant centre forwards and we can't risk lacking a physical presence at the heart of defence. As for last night's game, I
have not enjoyed the football so much for some time, even if the last 15 minutes felt like 45.

For me Lawlor and Pearson are lacking in pace and just not the right blend. I would like to see Chambers given a chance and see how he compares with Lawlor.

You replied to a post of his that was giving his views on the match last night, on the match reaction thread. So why you brought up another thread he started is strange. Plus its off topic. If he annoys you, or bores you so much and clearly it does then just ignore, the function is there for you to use.

Also I see no harm in a fan asking how a windfall of cash that the club has got or is getting has been or will be spent. Not everyone has WST blinkers on and/or has fallen into a state of non questioning apathy.

Football is much about luck than good management. Hughes could’ve brought Chambers on and Halifax score late on. He’s brought Carrington on and we win.

Too much is made by supporters about in game changes / subs etc which makes managers messiahs or idiots. For me, the game itself is probably the biggest aspect of a manager’s job he has least control of. It’s the prep before which stands you in good stead.

They were pretty impressive as a pair last season. I expect normal standards will resume once we get the shape right in front of them and get everyone available and fit.
