Good character shown after the red card. They were ok but not all that great, lower mid table my guess.

But We need to practice our throw ins, lost count of how many times we messed up our own throws.

The first 20 mins is how a dominant title winning team should start a game. After that we ran out of a bit of steam. But overall I think we had the better chances. Also we had the player who has that bit of quality to make a difference: step forward Mark Harris. How he didn't get the MOM is a bit of a piss take and words need to be had with the sponsor lol.

If we could just get another loan signing either creative midfielder or other winger the class of Harris we would walk this league! I also think Summerfield is gash he plays the backwards and sideways pass far to often and it stifles our new found attacking style. Both home games have had more entertainment in than all the home matches last season. We would have drawn that game 0-0 last season and finally anyone still questioning our new attacking style? You must be mental if you do!!

Hope your nurse got home ok!but Harris is streets ahead of any loaners we've had. Does any body know why Barton wasn't brought on for Lawlor?

Credit to Yozzer as his subs were spot on

Ruthers was fantastic, didn't switch off and a great weighted pass for Harris to finish off superbly

Harris or Young for MOTM

Didn't rate Barnum Bobb or MacIntosh but it's their first start so I'll cut them some slack

It looked to me that Pearson was managing the team at that point. He went over to the bench and seemed to be saying what should happen. Towards the end he asked for Oswell to come in for Hooper and also ordered the players to keep the ball in the corner.

First half was as one-sided a half as I've seen without the dominant side going 1-0 up. Played some great football but lacked a finishing touch.

How the keeper saved that one from Redmond (I think?) I'll never know. Incredible save.

Harris MOTM for me like a lot of other people have said. Ran Binnom-Williams around all game who is no slouch. Barnum-Bobb was good down the same side too. Will also echo the fact that it's incredible how Harris is in this league. He looked worth his weight in gold tonight.

Regarding the red card: didn't the rules change that last man isn't a straight red? Like decades ago that was stonewall, but I'm sure the rule change was that it's now a booking. Correct me if I'm wrong.

First game of season and it was an enjoyable watch ..

Mackintosh looked a little lost. As I said at half time young best player on the pitch ! Should of been MOM. Redmond didn’t get involved. Jennings I thought was outstanding also. BB looked rusty but has the makings of a solid RB.

Agree with peoples assertions that we still need a striker that can play out wide ..tolitt looks a pretty good option. Possibly a CM too but not sure if finances will allow..

Is it 3 games for lawlor ?

Best game and performance I've seen in last few seasons, great team effort and Young was immense as was the support off the crowd.Hughes deserves a lot of credit for turning round a ultra boring team to watch into the team we seen tonight.

If we got Tollitt on a seasons loan I think the league would be ours .

Tollitt, Hooper, Harris would terrorise defences . With Oswell and Grant in reserve.
