Please can people cut some slack to certain young people who breifly appear on that video. Whatever they say to the camera in bravado doesn't make them enemies of our club or football.
You probably know nothing about them or what they have been through recently so please have a little think before condemning them.

Worth benchmarking some season ticket prices - we don't get TV cash which makes up the bulk of the incomes for the prem - but there isnt that big a gap in pricing. Not sure if that means we are expensive or prem teams cheap?

PL teams don't rely on gate receipts anymore, but if lower league clubs went pro-rata they would all soon go bust. The downside of on demand PL football on TV is a totally unbalanced funding from the top.

Totally agree, and that is not counting the owner 'loans' or various other schemes.

Having been lucky enough to be in the home and away ends for a range of premier league teams it is a myth that its all prawn sarnie types, tourists or some kind of gentrification.

Oddly enough after walking through an open gate on Bramley Moore Dock the other night I was told by an evertonian that the planned ground capacity is too small as his two season tickets (£26 a game) would ideally be expanded to three kids as well but the consultants have not asked the fans. I dont think he has seen a prawn in his life.

If anything it could be argued game at the top is more accessible price wise due to the finances from TV / league injected into clubs.

Exactly.

As many experts have pointed out in the past, Premier League football could essentially be played in empty stadiums.

The ticket revenue is such a small part of it now.

Which says it all. Local kids from the Anfield area relying on a school trip to watch a cardboard cup game whilst Wing Wong Wa gets to see Liverpoo play United because dad is q director at Hyundai.

Back in the late seventies/ early eighties as teenagers my mate and I could only watch Wrexham once a month. The 250 mile round trip relied on pocket money, odd jobs and parents picking us up from bus station for last 30 miles.
It’s always been a financial fight since time in memorial and nothing new there.
