What I find a little puzzling is that Fondop supposedly arriving at training late, perhaps overweight and unfit. I do not know the details but he hardly appeared in pre season friendlies. I am not sure whether he trained. However just a day or two after joining Chesterfield he scores twice for their first team and plays most if not all the game. Something is not quite right. He may be hard to manage. He may see himself as a bit too bright. Has to have some ability though to score twice on debut.

I've been wondering same thing regards what you state above....
Should the fitness factors prove true then what does that say about chesterfield and their opposition yesterday, Fondop has/had something but appears he needs to be constantly loved and supporting arm around the shoulder.

Just to balance the argument.
It wasnt just a question of the inherited debt, we were losing money every week and our first team budget was way behind where it needed to be. Then along came another 'black hole' taking back the Racecourse lease, which threatened more lean times. Fortunately we've had some sell on windfalls and I maybe wrong but our first team budget has been improved significantly over the last 2-3 seasons.

What happens when the sell on windfalls runs out? What happens of no Fa Cup run? What's going you happen then gate money alone isn't enough, on top of that the grounds a moneypit....

Those will be the testing times for our ownership.

But as Birdy said the thread as usual has gone way off track.

Good luck to Fondop we didn't want him maybe Chesterfield do they have an experienced manager who will get the best out of him, while he was here he had 3 managers 2 rookies and one who didn't want the job.
