Justin Edinburgh Collection

A touch controversial this one maybe and I suspect I may get a verbal kicking...

It was tragic that Justin Edinburgh died so young and in the way he did. But why are we having a collection for him at The Cae Rae? Lots and lots of very worthy local causes out there a collection for which would deliver more benefits locally

That said I did not read the detail of where the proceeds will go

Following the tragic and untimely death of Leyton Orient manager Justin Edinburgh, which shocked the footballing world, all National League clubs decided that they would support the Justin Edinburgh Foundation ''JE3', which was set up by Justin’s family after his sad passing.

The Foundation will be looking to focus on raising awareness for brain and heart disease and promoting the use of defibrillators in health clubs and gyms.

Wrexham Football Club have agreed to hold a bucket collection at the home match with Barnet on Saturday 24th August, and it is with this in mind we are looking for some volunteers to help out by shaking a 'bucket for the 'JE3' collection at the turnstiles.

If you are available to help out, then please email volunteers@wst.org.uk for details of the meeting point and collection of buckets.

There will also be buckets located in 'The Cent', Bamfords and the 1864 Suite, and we thank you in advance for your contributions, no matter how big or small as every pound raised will make a significant difference.

Think you should have before spouting off in my opinion. Very worth causes where personally my family has lost a dear one.

Hardly spouting off and I make clear his passing is tragic, my point made clearly I think, is to wonder whether there are equally worthy causes locally

We have all lost someone sadly

I thought you had not read where the proceeds were to go. Spouting I’m my opinion but hey there are a lot of worthy charities locally or nationally.

Of all the things to have a moan about, this is what you choose. It's a great cause, all National League clubs are participating.
