Obviously the Kop needs replacing with an all-seater/safe-standing stand but surely the other two stands just require maintenance work? That has to be cheaper than building a new stadium to hold 15-20,000 doesn’t it?
The mold Road stand is the only fit for purpose stand we have.

I was thinking a 12000,with room for expansion if needed.

And where would the new ground be built? Unless it’s at existing site it’s likely to have negative impact on attendances. The racecourse is a prime location, walking distance from the town and the train station. Give me a falling apart Racecourse ground any day, over a soulless new stadium in the suburbs of Wrexham, where we’ll be lucky to get 4K average attendance.

Yes, because clubs like Shrewsbury and Doncaster have had attendances decimated by moving to new stadiums.

I don't mind staying at the course if it makes sense, but people are emotionally attached to the point that they'd sooner stay in a ruin than look to the future.

I’d rather stay where we were but it all comes down to cost. It’s not a super urgent matter at the moment and we probably have other priorities. After all we’re not turning people away and the stands we’re using are safe enough to use, buts it’s something to think about before any work was to start on the kop (if that ever happened). How much cheaper would a new stadium be over developing the 3 oldest stands?

Leave the Racecourse and it'll be the death of the club

Still living in the old days and for years not enough has or is being done to drag us screaming and shouting into the modern world - this topic causes a fanbase division and we are all the losers as we are having to turn away money from another 500 - 100 SCFC fans who would also spend their money in food and drink in the ground if only we had the proper facilities for them.

To put it into perspective Stockport's next away fixture is at Harrogate and even they are giving them in excess of 800 tickets with their tinpot ramshackle one level stadium.

Sorry but it's the same shit year after year - and the only thing that changes is the level of rust and additional leaks in the stand roofs. Other clubs have built whole new stadiums and we can't get our arse in gear to get one stand built - but there's always the xmas raffle to generate funds isn't there !
It might be the same shit but your forgetting we dont own the racecourse,so if we spent money building a new stand all were doing is improving someone else,s asset,i know thats negative thinking but thats what it is at the moment.

No it’s securing the income for the next 90 odd years. It’s standard commercial lease terms.
