And why does Hughes think that a good attack necessitates a leaky defence? Leyton Orient last season were a good example of how to balance the two.

It all feels quite similar to Tranmere in 2016/17: quality squad on paper, high expectations, and the great crux of the problem, Gary Brabin as manager. Inevitably when he was sacked, and they brought in Mellon, they ran Lincoln close to the title. How long do we give Hughes before we bring in someone better equipped to utilise the talented players at our disposal?
This.

As well as Wright and Barton playing their first full games we also had Tollit. Anybody who saw him on Saturday would know that he is miles off match fitness. Add to that McIntosh on the bench, where the hell is Oswell.

It is strange that no one has come forward considering the amount of time and effort the board have gone to communicating the fact investment is being sought.

Let's be honest the team performances since BH took over the reins have been below average. The performance against Barnet on Saturday was enough to show anyone that the team was lacking in all departments. I agree with most that the main concern is in midfield .
The best way to address the problem is to keep your hard earned cash in your pocket and to give the club management a wake up call. I cant understand why people keep turning up to watch such pathetic football. This has been the pattern for the last few years cant see anything changing until we have a complete change of leadership and direction.

You can believe what you want, the person in question was told it was a no go. I hope he has another go, he will eventually.

If he has any sense he will invest in a club that wants it.

He should go down the official channels, it would be unfortunate if it 'leaked' out with am appetite for change among the fan base.

No anger should be directed at Bryan Hughes. They went after him remember. He'd have been mad not to take the job. Why they went after him can only be based on sentiment alone because there is simply nothing else. That in itself is bad enough and smacks of being out of their depth.
It's little surprise to anyone without tinted specs on that the appointment of BH was utterly bizarre and no one can even attempt to justify it without making themselves look stupid.

Of course he could prove us wrong and turn things around but can you see it happening? It's unlikely..
