I think they gave Mills the running of the Football side , but obviously that was a mistake as he may have been a Manager but to give him the running of all football was suicide , now they look like they have passed it on to CD , now he is a coach and again not really qualified to oversee the Football side , so another error , which should have been avoided , it seems they don't learn but panic or throw themselves into the arms of the nearest easiest , solution .

Heaven forbid that we revert to doing things as we did in the 1970's. After all , what did we achieve in those dark days of Share Ownership? Only the best decade in Wrexham AFC history culminating in a Championship winning promotion to the second tier in English club football. Plus European exploits to make us all proud. Also an excellent Youth policy producing the likes of Joey Jones, Mickey Thomas , Billy Ashcroft, Dave Smallman , Eddie Niedswiecki etc etc. Let us not forget the superb Cup runs and victories against some of the top clubs in the land. I could go on but I guess you get the drift?
The fact that you addressed your remark to the son of our greatest-ever manager merely added insult to injury. Not your finest hour Mr Stockdale!

Then the shares you refer to were gobbled up by you know who and that started the clubs decline. Unfortunately its the fans with their small share ownership who succumbed to the lure of a few quid that aided the decline.
Someone will write a book about it one day.

In those days , If i recall correctly, Share ownership enabled any shareholder to be put forward for directorship. However I do also recall times when unhappy fans protested beneath the directors box. How times have changed.

Nothing disrespectful in what I said but in fact it highlighted that practices move on and I feel it’s time we did.

Remember those days well. You, I , and others resisted the temptation of making a quick buck by selling our shares. Good job we did since the 22% Shareholders were later able to resist Hamilton's plans to sack the two Daves.Would never underestimate the WST's role , then or now , in keeping our Club alive. Must confess , however , that warning bells started ringing for me when interviewed by BBC Wales , alongside a leading Trust representative , shortly after the Shareholders had handed over their shares (for nothing of course ) to Moss and Dickens. My WST colleague was so gushing in his praise for those two characters that I felt embarrassed.

didn't the official supporters association back moss and Roberts in the council vote that lost us the ground?
