Personally, I think we need a CEO to bring all the non-footballing stuff together, thus freeing the Board members from what they are currently trying to do — just about everything — and allow them to concentrate on overall strategy and supervision.

A CEO would cost money, but they should be able to pay for themselves by the improvements they can generate. SH may think he can do it all, but he can’t. He must learn to delegate.
Agree re DoF they should be part time and that is what I’d envisaged

Nah, all we need is a decent manager and coaching team.

The fan ownership model is progressive as I have described in my opinion.

My point is we need a director of football to progress on the field and I think you agree?
I agree we need a strategy which may involve a DOF. We currently seem to have too many cooks plus a board that should be looking to build the club but in football terms it’s a mess.

Lets park the ownership as everyone know’s each fan own’s nothing.

This, decent manager and not some pot luck selection with a good assistant and not 2 or 3 coaches doing the odd day each. After all with Rickets and Barrow it seemed to be working.

...and who hires them?

At the very least, we need someone with footballing experience on the board.

I don't see it that way.

Too many cooks spoil the broth and all that.

We need a manager who can properly manage and an assistant who is with him on a daily basis supporting him.

We could start with some transparency of what Brain Flynn actually does and how much time he devotes to his role - if it's minimal then BH needs to have someone alongside him and the management team need to make the decisions - let them manage and not be undermined or their decisions interfered with by some 'director of football' who will be yet another costly addition - like I say, too many cooks in the kitchen - it'll end up like Brexit - everyone having an opinion dragging us into a stalemate with nothing getting done to take us forward - I really wonder if that's what already has been happening with the likes of Keates and especially Ricketts jumping ship - too much interference perhaps from others.
