Can understand it maybe happening yesterday after last couple of results but we played well and beat Barrow first game so doesn't exactly make much sense. How do you know this happened? If I have missed something on another post my apologies

First half we were outplayed by Barrow.

Basically this.

I was fairly pleased with the recruitment over the summer but remained unconvinced by BH's managerial abilities. Nothing that has happened so far this season has removed that doubt. 3 wins would help but anything less and his coat starts to be on a shoogly peg imho.

This is why you need a strong management team who are there with the players at training , rather than part time involvement . We've had meetings before i think , sort of clear the air type things , but we all know if there are personality issues they re emerge quite easily .

Always look for two points per game average to put you there or thereabouts at the end of the season. A bit of slack can be cut from this at the start of the season with new players and systems to adjust to, two wins and a draw from these three (no chance we will win all three) would be 16 from 10 and just about acceptable if we now kick on and go on a run (Big IF)

Also taking into account stuttering starts for Fylde, Chesterfield, Notts and Solihull (a little). And assuming/hoping the likes of Woking, Bromley and Halifax have started well and will fall away it wouldn't be a totally disastrous start on paper.

I do get the feeling it is papering over potentially large cracks though anyway.

I would say it was pretty even with Barrow slightly on top, came out second half playing much better and went on to come back and win. Isn't that the opposite of what normally happens when a manager has lost the dressing room.

We need points: 7 should be the minimum acceptable tally, whilst 9 must be the target.

Rumours of ‘trouble at mill’ seem to be from one or 2 ‘usual suspects’, so unsure whether this is wishful thinking on their part, or whether there is some substance to their claims.

Essentially, BH and the players must up their games by eradicating the lack of concentration, and try to convert more of the chances we are making.

We need promotion. Another season in the wilderness would raise the jeopardy of our inability to fund it all. We are not exactly flush with cash, and there are no likely player sales on the horizon to top up the kitty. Sadly, life is constant pressure so we must not make things worse by dropping points at home.

Which players do you think have improved the squad?

Harris looks lively. Hooper looks like he has ability but lacks application. Redmond???

I don’t really think we look any better than last season. Roberts was a better right back than bobb. Barton isn’t as effective as Walker. Lainton has been a massive miss in goal but dibble was here last year.

We’ve changed tactics to be more attacking and it’s no coincidence that the defence looks shaky. Every year we comprise in one area of the team to improve another and as a result never get it right.

They did improve second half. I don’t think it was down to an inspired Hughes half time team talk though.
