Re: 10 game barometer - expectations?
Said on a previous thread - next two games are all lined up for a mighty fall.
if we were to lose both home games RP will go into meltdown next Tuesday night. Pressure is on to perform and get results at home. Fixtures look tricky. Stockport have improved and will have the backing of 1,000 fans. Any team put out by Jim Gannon will be difficult to beat. Maidenhead are in excellent form and playing decent football and have a goal scorer in Jake Cassidy. We have plenty of players but nobody including Hughes knows who will play and in what formation - making 6 changes from game to game will never work. |

Re: 10 game barometer - expectations?
We will be bottom half after ten games. That much was obvious before the season started . Our pre season was bizarre as we played three different systems in those games ( “to challenge the players “ according to BH) . We also signed a ‘full back’ to play in a system we haven’t used and as a result he is now playing in a four man defence when he isn’t really a full back. Knock on effect ? Anyone who plays next to him has a mare - Lawlor, Pearson. This is idiotic management of Olympian proportions.

Re: 10 game barometer - expectations?
You could be right but looks even more unlikely that he had by that point lost the dressing room. I ain't no happy clapper but for the first time in a few seasons have actually enjoyed the couple of games i have been this season compared to the boring shite thats been served up last few seasons and just think its to early to be writing Hughes off.

Re: 10 game barometer - expectations?
Exactly, when players take over the changing room at half time it shows how weak the management is. Would Bryan Hughes inspire you as a senior player? I wouldn’t listen to any of the bollocks he talks you just got to listen to his interviews, he wouldn’t say boo to a goose.

Re: 10 game barometer - expectations?
Minimum 7 points from the next three. Gives us 4 wins, 4 draws, 2 losses which would be a decent start. Think if we get that it will be a lifeline for Hughes. Can't see it happening mind, all teams are above us. Think we will be lucky to get 2 draws.
Will reserve proper judgement until we've hit the 10 game mark but as of now it's looking like another poor season. |
