Structure and Strategy
The WST have for far too long been asleep on the job. The WAFC seem to be the ‘queen’ on the playing board and the WST merely a ‘pawn’. The tail is now wagging the dog as January proved. Amen.

Re: Structure and Strategy
The good work the WST has done is seriously on the brink of being undone. Its now one mistake after another being covered by back slapping and self praise. Honesty is now required in answering whether the same people who have done well regarding off the field business have the skill sets to make the football decisions. I accept for some this honesty will be difficult but the alternative is ending up self praising in a empty racecourse In National North. We are headed that way unless the club is put first.
I posted this in the reaction thread but it is for here. |

Re: Structure and Strategy
We need a new manager pronto....Hughes is out of his depth and must go this weekend. The WST board should not be allowed to choose the replacement manager, we must have a CEO appointed asap someone who can link the boardroom with the boot room....someone with football history and dna! Get this next step wrong or delay decisive action and we will be relegated this season.

Re: Structure and Strategy
Stockport were poor but well organised and knew how to defend like real men.
Two awful errors gifted them goals. How many games this season have we let goals in from back post crosses? Their big CB unmarked at the back post and 2-0 down within a flash. As for our set pieces, the floating corner failed all through the game. In open play we created far more than Stockport, but shocking defending from two set pieces won them the game. Fine margins but what are we working on during the week on the training ground? It cleary isn’t defending and attacking set pieces. Hughes needs to go along with the people responsible for his 3 1/2 year deal. Darlington should do the decent thing and step away also, allowing a new manager to come in and build his own back room staff.

Re: Structure and Strategy
I'd just like to see a full-time manager and a full-time assistant manager.
The only part-time coach should be for the goalie. Between them they should be able to coach, plan, scout etc.
