Percy's partially right here, Lainton wasn't fully fit.

Szczepaniak was injured for those games but I agree that it's a little bizarre to see Lainton in the match day squad. I don't believe that it's any spin from the club, but perhaps he could've put a shift in if called upon, playing through the pain barrier and whatnot.

You were at the games so you will have seen him warming up - or not as the case may be.

As I’ve said previous why have we given Lainton a 2 year deal given his horrific injury record previous to last year? The same question has been asked but unanswered about Manny Smith.

I agree. But with Manny they thought he had recovered, came back in December and then sidelined for the rest of the season.

I was told that Lainton was due to start on Saturday but had a set-back, afraid don't really know where that info came from and the extent of the setback if it's true.
