Very peculiar - sadly attracting no publicity as there isn't any.

Kick off time is just incredible - doesn't do anything to get a crowd in - adults and parents in work and kids unable to go unless they are local and have someone to get them to the ground.

Is it all to suit TV again so there is no clash with the Senior teams match ?

At least a 1.00 pm KO could be advertised as a 'schools' match to pick the stadium with school parties but 5.00 pm to me is just about the worst time possible - oh not forgetting the rush hour traffic.

Bonkers kick off time and no advertising.

Anyone would think there's an agenda to ensure the crowd is poor to make the Racecourse look bad to back up a reason not to invest in a new Kop stand.

Surely not.......

Now that the club has the ground back so to speak its surprising this isn't on the club's website. Which by the way if you search Wrexham FC seems its still hacked.

How hard is it to advertise this on social media?

The club stand to profit from the sale of food and drink and unbelievably can’t be bothered to push this game.

Mismanaged decline.

Can't believe this is the first I've heard of this. Really needs more advertising. Kick off time is horrendous too. Who decided that?

Too late to buy tickets online. Not clear if you can pay on the gate.

Only £5 for adults, £2 for over 65/under 16. Might have gone if I'd have known about it earlier.

Also, Wales U21 V Germany U21, Tuesday 10th September, kick off 7:00pm

These are all UEFA U21 Championship qualifiers.

So they are messing up a decline? i.e. they are unintentionally causing an improvement?! :44:

Anyways yeah lack of advertising is poor. First I saw of it was the retweet of the Belgian FC’s tweet about it the other day.

Surely it’s the FAW’s responsibility to advertise it unless they have paid WREXHAM AFC to do so.

Exactly, its not like the club could make money from this is it.

And it would cost a lot of money for the club to advertise it on their website and social media. This simple task would probably run into the thousands for the hour it might take one person to do it.
Its much better that its been done this way, hopefully the club can now use the thousands of pounds saved to sign a league winning midfielder.

Its not 'unbelievable' because from top to bottom the whole place is being run like a basket case - and lets face it, with a game on tomorrow at 3.00 pm would they want an evening kick off tonight with a late finish where many of the same facilities and staff will be needed twice in quick succession.

Going the extra mile and putting a big effort into anything at the current time now seems a memory in the distant past - those who think we will be playing L2 football anytime soon are in for a very long wait. Taking supporters for granted, shafting them at every opportunity with poor facilities, no or poor information seems to be the accepted norm.

It should be an honour for our club to host an International at any level but I don't hear anybody even whispering quietly that it's even happening.

I agree it is, but I as it would benefit the club I don't see the harm in posting it on the website and sharing on Facebook. Maybe there's a good reason the club haven't though.

Though when I say I'm surprised I've not heard about it, that wasn't aimed at the club. That was just a general comment, surprised by how little has been said about this.

Regardless of the fact that it's not on the club website, how have so many people not heard that this match was taking place, especially seeing as Mark Harris is in the squad.

Kick off time is due to the seniors kicking off at 7:45.

Yes it is crumbs, well spotted. The Racecourse toilets are now like those at Spurs new stadium, a gleaming paradise that screams hospital like cleanliness, hygiene and comfort. And that's just one example of how everything off the pitch is well, just dandy.

I have family and friends currently in the stadium.

Attendance described as extremely sparse - Wales lead 1 - 0 at HT - Harris has started the match up front but don't know who scored except it's not him.

Re: Wales U21's V Belgium U21's

As already mentioned they play Germany, the senior side play Belarus the same night. So it's a better fixture for us in the north to attended.

FAW have ballsed it up only 5k tickets sold for the Belarus game, would have sold out in Wrexham for sure.

Disappointing the lack of advertising on social media, plenty of it went of for T&T game, that sold out quickly.

Back to hosting games in Bangor or somewhere now, where it will cost less to put on.

Brennan Johnson put Wales U21 ahead in the 5th minute.

More people watching Airbus UK v Carmarthan Town last Friday night than currently at the Racecourse - but that did start with a sensible kick off time.
That’s a cracking result.
Agree - a fantastic result.

However,it's such a massive shame for those young lads to run out onto the Racecourse pitch representing their country, some for the first time.......and to be greeted by a mere 300 spectators.

Something, somewhere, and there are probably numerous factors is drastically wrong in how this fixture was marketed / publicized.

I recall watching many Under 21 fixtures, some perhaps 10 years ago now at the Racecourse - attendances were certainly better in previous years but low profile publicity and media attention combined with the kick off time have not helped.

If UEFA have set the kick off time there needs to be some representation with a view to change so far more people can realistically attend such fixtures - we in North Wales always come a distant second to those in the south - but this is about the same level as the after meal crumbs off the banqueting tablecloth.
