Re: DSA nominated for a National Game Award
Great achievement, & it does fill you with a certain amount of pride that the DSA are being recognised as one the forerunners & ground breakers in the area of providing better facilities for disabled supporters.
It would be far to easy to just do the minimum (or not in the case of EPL clubs) but the DSA are providing services far & beyond that of which they are required to do & that is a credit to everyone involved. |
Re: DSA nominated for a National Game Award
Four of us are heading down to Amnesty International HQ tomorrow for the awards ceremony taking place in the afternoon.
We'll obviously be delighted to win something, but apart from that it is a great opportunity for us to meet many like minded people at the same time. Fingers crossed!! |

Re: DSA nominated for a National Game Award
Well it wasn't to be for us yesterday in the National Game category, but our Allies In Access group we are part of did win the Free Kick Award!
Allies In Access are a group of disabled fans from 6 clubs. Ourselves, WBA, Villa, Walsall, Wolves and Birmngham City who meet up regularly to exchange ideas and experiences. It's a great bunch of people and the meetings normally have s guest along from one of the National fans inclusion groups to help or advise us. As an award winner the group now progresses. All the category winners advance to the Football Supporters Association AGM where one will be selected as overall winners. We hope that the Allies In Access will soon be attending a home Wrexham game, so if you see a group of fans turn up wearing a bunch of other teams colours you will know why! |
Re: DSA nominated for a National Game Award
Well done to all involved with the DSA, you’re a shining beacon for the club and football in general.
