So long as it's used for that alone, it shouldn't effect our league games. It might give the first team a kick up the a*rse knowing their place is at stake

We've been bemoaning the decision to disband the reserve side and then moaned further about lads not being fit when called to be back in the thick of it.

Barton played well from the sounds of it and may give us an option going forward in midfield, an area that's really not working at the minute. It wasn't long ago people were complaing he hadn't played a game yet.

Using this competition to beat the club with is ludicrous.

I sometimes wonder whether for some the prospect of a trip away and all day drinking is actually more important than Wrexham FC.
It definitely is

Fair points except it does affect the league games because we have to postpone them.
No guarantees that first team players that haven't played will do the business in the rearranged games.
We had no choice to enter but I can't help feeling the earlier we go out the better

All this nonsense about postponed games. Almost every season, games get postponed due to issues such as weather. No one goes off on one when that happens.
As for tv revenue, how many times do people comment on here that the money from such games doesn’t cover lost ticket sales?
People on here must be careful of their backs with all the goalpost moving they do.

Will people be moaning if we're in the 3rd round of the FA Cup away to Manchester United and end up with a midweek replay on top of the postponed game?

I very much doubt it.

It gives our small side some rest, time to recover from niggling injuries while others get to stretch their legs.

Did you just compare this to the FA cup?
