Absolutely agree. The ref who I thought a decent game overall gave a free kick and zo should have been red. The only thing I can think is he didn't really see what happened but gave the free kick based on the reaction of our players.

I didn't see it that way - in fact the opposite and I didn't like it.

Szczpaniak tried to con the ref and play acted as though he had been shot in the head with a hunting rifle - absolute garbage and no doubt in his view trying to run the clock down - personally did not see any form of kick - a slight contact between side of the head and possibly shin / lower leg of a player attempting to retreat but obstructed by our keeper who should have been up and on his feet a lot sooner instead of crawling around on the floor.

I think you are right though about the ref - he probably didn't see it - perhaps if he had the outcome might have been significantly different.

Not correct. The Ayr player definitely gave the keeper a slight kick to the side of the head. The reaction may have been extreme, but it was a certainly a kick and could easily have been a red card.

Looking at the highlights , the standard of shots was appalling , only one on target was the goal i think .

The McIntosh miss in the first half was worse than I remembered.

A couple of us noticed that, he did catch him but I thought the goalie made a bit of a meal out of it.

This gets me annoyed just as much as the infringement itself. Fair enough, if a player lashes out and it does connect hard. But if it is a petulant 'scrape' then the reaction doesn't need to be that extreme.

By all means complain to the ref and/or assistants but if it wasn't a hard contact don't give it the theatrics. I get fed up with seeing players go down and roll around screaming, then once a kick and card is given they are up and running around sometimes even without the trainer coming on.

Times have changed but when I was younger playing you took these challenges on the chin (literally sometimes!) and let the ref decide the outcome. Nowadays it seems players are out to get others carded or sent off far too easily.

There was no need for their player to do it but our keeper's reaction was embarrassing.
