The next batch of swansea youngsters coming through should play tonight. Both CB's are top drawer, Jack Evans is a another to keep an eye on. Should be a good game. Is there live coverage anywhere

Mold Road for certain -£6 cash on the turnstiles and your in.

Agree with you - absolute hopeless case in getting information on this game distributed to the general public - same for the Belgium match - nobody seems remotely bothered either way !

They'd played some decent stuff but 2 terrible bits of defending and a pretty unlucky own goal and it's game over.

Actually played some good stuff and the first goal came against the run of play. Floodgates open now though. Harris as a lone striker is looking lively.

Final score.

Wales U 21 - 1 Germany 5
(HT 0 - 4)

Consolation Welsh goal scored by Mark Harris from the penalty spot just after half time.

No mention of attendance - anyone know what it was yet ?

800 and something.
Wales awful. Harris probably best of them.
It was good to see the Germans finally producing quality that I haven’t seen at the Racecourse for a long while.

Brennan Johnson looked a player, the way he moved caught the eye. Also I thought Swansea's Jack Evans in midfield looks a terrific prospect.
Can't believe how poor Coxe was at right back as I had thought he was highly rated

Any German players stand out ?
They keep producing top quality players decade after decade and always seem do well in all the big tournaments - any specific formation they played to which was different to what Wales had to offer ?

Couldn't be to do with the size of their population could it ? :jester:

Although Robin Hack got three the best player on the park was number 19 Adrian Fein who plays for B Munich but on loan at Hamburg. Excellent vision and a superb technical midfielder.

Nico Schlotterbeck at LB also impressed. One of the sweetest left foots I've ever seen.

Size is not everything - experience and technique in the box is more likely to make the 'crowd' scream with delight:hurray:

America's big but they don't win much...........only wars.

Do you think Brennan Johnson is worth an early call up to the full squad to try and bag him now given the rumours of England looking at him?

Rob Edwards 10th September 2019 22.06:29

Re: Wales U21 v Germany tonight Tue 10 Sept

Wales average age was 19 what Germany was 21.Germany do not have to fast-track like Wales.Made a huge difference tonight.
Need to bear in mind missing through senior call ups/injuries-

Ethan Ampadu
Tyler Roberts
Rabbi Matondo
Matt Smith
Ben Woodburn
Nathan Broadhead
Dylan Levitt
Ben Williams
Terry Taylor

Majority of above would be starters.

No. I wouldn't rush him and on tonight's showing we have plenty of better option in his position already.

To be fair Harris was as good as anyone in red but I thought our #11 looked decent. Dan Mooney not currently getting a game for Fleetwood and was on loan at Chester last year. Surely worth a call from BH to see if he's available.
