Re: Direct your anger in the right direction
Agreed. Probably a Mark Palios with some money to ‘invest’. The current directors have no money or football experience. The ‘Palios’ figure would need an ‘investment’ plan no matter how small.

Re: Direct your anger in the right direction
I hear it so many times that the club dont want promotion. Now as ridiculous as it sounds
the complete and inept way it is being run at the moment would actually make this rumour plausible . If you are running a full time club with an inexperienced and failed Manager who incidentally gets a mind blowing 3 year deal , and 2 part time people giving there time to add to their already salaried jobs ! mindless decisions from the board . That is the reason , l agree with the start of the thread .. |

Re: Direct your anger in the right direction
A Palios type owner would be the dream ticket....it would give us a strong link between bootroom and boardroom, which is what we desperately need.

Re: Direct your anger in the right direction
Owner! Be careful with your wording as neither board wants an owner but a paying director. Does Palios own Tranmere?

Re: Direct your anger in the right direction
As I see it at a the moment the trust board is unable to scrutinise the club board of directors because all bar one sit on both. Surely we only need one member of the trust board or maybe two maximum to be directors, then the trust board would be independent and be able to do what it's supposed to do and look after the interests of its members. This would also lighten the work load of the club directors and avoid a conflict of interest

Santini Group is owned by brothers Wandi, Lukito and Paulus Wanandi and the deal will see Lukito take a seat on the board of the League One club. Tranmere have enjoyed back-to-back promotions in the past two seasons from the National League and League Two. The deal has been made possible after the Palios' agreed to issue new shares. "It's an endorsement of what we've done at the club," Mark Palios told BBC Radio Merseyside. "They understand the ethics of what we're trying to achieve, in terms of a community based club, and they're very much behind that. "They have a minority stake so we'll run the business on a day-to-day basis. The initial investment they make will help us to repair some of the damage done to the balance sheet in terms of the three years we spent in non-league. "There'll also be a small improvement in the playing budget for the next couple of years, which will help us to get stable in League One." Posted via mobile theme |

Re: Direct your anger in the right direction
We are the definition of a club going nowhere.
I remember when we used to joke about having no ambition, well the clappers did, we haven't, so I'm not sure what the clappers were joking about.
