The board are far too arrogant to admit their mistakes.

When he was appointed we all knew it was nonsense and that come Christmas we’d be looking for another manager. We KNEW it. Dig the posts out.

We knew he wasn’t the right man before the end of last season when it all started going wrong yet we also knew that this board would let him spend a budget over the summer and it was basically writing off another season.

And here we are, just as everyone predicted.

Thing is, the board will want to hold on to Hughes as long as possible to preserve their own positions, because it was them who appointed him, that would be forgivable possibly, but to give him a 3year contract was quite frankly absurd.
