Certainly any decent manager of a team in crisis would have his name down as one of the first on the team sheet.
He has pace and runs at defenders. The end product isn't always the best. 100% for effort though.

He tries and as others have said, he's good enough for a mid table National League side.

Yeh he was slow to get back up and chase a few times he wasn't on his own a lot of arm waving and pointing by players but little effort or application.

He showed more passion in the time he had on the pitch than most of the team that played from kick off, Tollitt & Harris spring to mind as being truly dreadful.
Not his fault the manager doesn’t set up an entertaining attack
Minded team, most of the team have had 2 weeks off ffs and still couldn’t muster up a meaningful performance.

Would start him ahead of Harris who showed no interest or effort yesterday.

Harris was blowing out his arse at the end of the Germany U21 game. He was probably knackered from that.

Yes - we saw that too. Him and Tollit were like the ugly sisters with Grant as cinders the only one working 😀

Fans are saying Hughes has assembled a side better than last season I disagree his signings are not good.

(1) Barnum Bobb not a footballer at our level EVO stick level.
(2) Macvitie or whatever his name is couldn't strike a match.
(3) Redmond... Maybe ok talent there somewhere but does not look arsed like most of the team.
(4) Harris only young and has been dragged into the can't be arsed category
(5) Tollit a Show pony who thinks he is better than he is,no application yesterday he looked knackered and couldn't be arsed.
(6) Chambers a big lad he tries but not good enough.
(7) our injured striker possibly his only quality signing but he will get dragged down to all the strikers we lost who are scoring elsewhere because of our tactics and hoofball and a lone striker.

The first 45 mins yesterday was 2 very poor teams boring the crowd into a couldn't care less anymore,a dead atmosphere an embarrassment to our dying club.

It would be obvious to even Stevie Wonder that the players have given up and are just going through the motions a footgolf manager with no passion whatsoever it even shows in his interviews.
The constant with our negative hoofball is Darlington another who is a Wrexham fan and only has the job for that reason.

Until we start acting like a professional club then it's only a matter of time until we kill it.

Rutherford never hides. He’s not a world beater, he’s not a player that excites fans. Yet when he gets the ball he never hides, he runs forward with it. Whether that be 30 yards or 3 yards. He gets us up the pitch and on the front foot. Granted he can’t really beat a man but he’ll press the team up to the opposition defence and then start us playing from there rather than playing three passes between out back four and summerfield and then smashing a 50 yard diagonal pass to our small weak wingers
