He doesn’t have any pace. He looks fast because of his little legs scurrying away but 3 of his strides amount to 1 of a standard player.

Sadly, Rutherford will not get us out of this mess. He tries hard but has limited ability. He is a very good pro, but should be playing for Southport.

As fans we have been fed up watching it for the last three seasons or more. As players they clearly can't be arsed playing that way any more.
On the evidence yesterday, BH has lost the team, they aren't playing for him and for these reasons the Board has to act.

Hughes and Darlington have to be shipped out. We need a full time manager with his own full time backroom staff to bring an element of professionalism back to our club.

If the board aren't willing to make this tough decision (it's not that tough really as it's the right thing to do for the club) then they too need to be changed.

Our problem is mostly with the formation and midfield. Playing a lone striker at home is criminal. Our midfield are weak, slow and cannot create -- essentially, they are a push-over, which may explain why we often bypass them.

Rutherford looked speedy yesterday, because he was fresh and his opponents had played 70 minutes. It’s is not a fair comparison. Bit like a Jack Russell in a field of Greyhounds! If he is our “great white hope”, then it’s relegation a gogo.
