Interesting thought - what evidence has been on display to come to the conclusion that we should win a football match especially an away match which is virtually as far away as you can get.

Anyone travelling that distance there and back should be granted an optional knighthood and medal for services to the club or a course of medical sessions with a head shrink.

A defeat at both Aldershot and Fylde and next Wednesday morning whilst looking up for a glimpse of daylight through the relegation trap door could be interesting.

Our away form has been atrocious even last season when we were up the right end of the table challenging - there are some common traits which have carried on for some time - but it's squeaky bum time now and with only one home game in the whole of October we have to start picking up points away from home or drop into the drop zone.

Because Aldershot aren’t a good team who are lucky to still be in the division.

Aldershot 3.25 on Betfair - good value.

I think our away form last season was inconsistent rather than atrocious (I got to six away games - 4 wins and two draws). However I must admit I have a poor track record at the Shots (my nearest game), only managing one victory 1-0. My worst memory is of Mike Hooper letting in 6 on a wet Tuesday night. I don't think it will be that bad but probably a first home win of the season. I think the best we can hope for is a repeat of last season - a boring 0-0 draw.

We had a few 0 - 0 results last season or a game with just one goal - but we are not as collectively strong defending as a team anymore and are liable to concede - which means we will probably need to score at least two goals to win. I just can't see a goal with no goals.

The assumption on Aldershot being poor is made by many on league positions but many teams are totally inconsistent - we beat Halifax, Stockport beat us in our own backyard then Aldershot beat Stockport at Edgeley Park - it seems anything is possible - people were writing Chorley off a few weeks back but now they are finding their feet - it's tight at the bottom and we far too close to it.

I think if we improve our tactics, get 50% extra out of every player and cut out the silly errors....... we could keep it down to a 1-0 defeat.

I am skint, so there’s my excuse for not going to Aldershot. I am sure that the Shots will have had the riot act read to them regarding their league place. They are the home team, and will attack and take the game to us.
If Hooper plays and Dibble finds a physical presence, we might just have a chance. If Aldershot play a high tempo, with a target man and pepper the box with crosses, its get your coat time!

As soon as JJ ,Lainton and Lawlor are back ,the better !!
Maybe they can scrape a win , but there needs to be a bicycle pump up one or 2 of them
