However , considering the pickle we seem to be getting into ,I am in agreement that the talking is better on the pitch , and in the dressing room .

Re: Pearson backs manager
Is it just me that finds it odd that the Skipper is attacked for supporting the manager?
Whenever I have spoken to him he comes across as a strong character with a mind of his own. I doubt that he would put his name to something he wasn't prepared to back up. |

Re: Pearson backs manager
If he and the rest of the players had shown it on the pitch there would be no need to come out and "back the manager". Actions speak louder than words. No one is falling for this or the dreadful statement on Monday. Both smack of pure desperation.

Re: Pearson backs manager
I would expect nothing less from the Skipper however just like the board statement I believe neither. Both statements are really unnecessary and I suspect the next two games will not only show whether the Team is supporting the management but will also decide the fate of that same management.

Re: Pearson backs manager
The one thing I like about Pearson is he speaks the truth, like a normal person. Hughes gives you absolutely nothing in any of his interviews (which leads you to think is that what he is like with the players.)
The bit I read that struck me was they (Pearson and Hughes) had a proper sit down chat, which you would imagine was pretty frank. Hopefully whatever stuff Hughes is doing wrong with the players, he has taken it on board and we can try and improve results on the pitch. |
