Simply put a change of personnel in the managerial hot-seat isn't going to change our fortunes...players need to step up.

The centre backs haven't changed since last year??? Chambers wasn't here last year, he is playing in Pearsons position,,, Yes Lawlor is still here but missed most of the games through needless suspensions.... He was also out with a dislocated shoulder for a lot of games at the end of season...we miss Kennedy and obviously Manny but he was injured early on last season at Solihull.

We are missing our player of the season Lainton in goal as Dibble isn't good enough a good shot stopper but awful at commanding his area and has butter fingers. You can see the defence have no confidence in him.

Something seriously wrong at this club and it's only because of Saturdays booing that they are all coming out with the talk...

Talk is cheap every season they go talking to the Leader and then lose the next game.

I am expecting Jennings to appear in print next he usually does.

Having said all this if the players put the effort in for 90 mins instead of only one half as they consistently do and get their fitness levels up to compete for 90mins along with Hughes starting his best 11 if he knows who they are, stop playing with a lone isolated striker, get men in the box more, find someone who can take corners and free kicks, get a killer instinct infront of goal.

Then we just might turn it around.

I'm of the opinion that's footballers improve when winning to many players heads go down when we concede.

I'm going to stick my neck out if we can get 2 away wins particularly at Fylde then we just might go on a run, but the problem is we have had a poor away record for quite a few seasons.

If the players keep coming out in support of Hughes and performances don’t improve they’ll be on the end of the frustration from the fans soon enough.

A good summation as to why we are in such a mess, on the pitch at least, right now but that is one bloody big if right there.

I'm with JND on this one. We haven't had a settled back 4 yet this season, and Pearson has been playing on the right not the left since Chambers came in.

The biggest issue for me is the midfield. It hasn't been sorted since last season and in fact it's worse since the period we had Walker. Redmond doesn't impose himself and has left our midfield not covering the defence, leaving them more exposed. Why isn't Barton playing? If you fix the midfield we would improve a lot imo.

Slightly off topic, but what is the point of Adam Barton? We needed to replace Walker, brought in Barton presumably to play there but it hasn't happened.
