Everything is stacked against us, so I sense Sod’s law will step in for Fylde fans.

I think we will get something there. I smell a 1-1 or perhaps even a 2-1 win.

Who can actually turn a game for us though?

Only Grant, Tollitt, and maybe Pearson heading in from a corner.
I don’t see anyone else in our squad (Hooper excused of course) who can turn a game.

If we do lose, as others have said it will be ugly at Y Cae Ras, next Saturday.

I just have a hunch we won’t lose though.

Maybe I put too much red wine in that beef casserole????!!!!

The challenges are to ensure we are not relegated, and to minimise the loss of revenue this and next season.

Ideally, the WST would agree to step back from running the club in a controlled manner, whilst handing over to a new consortium. Alas, despite al the winks and nods, there does not appear to be anyone waiting in the wings. Therefore, the onus is on the WST to sort out their mess before the membership are forced to vote most of the current ‘leaders’ out of their post.

During the Keates’ years there was talk of ‘bad apples’ amongst the players who were undermining the manager. If that is happening now it must be stamped out. A change of management — ie getting rid of BH, CD and BF — might correct that but there are clearly some individuals who have overstepped the mark, whilst others have decided to switch off.

The club has gotten itself into a precarious situation; one that is recoverable provided those in charge recognize the danger and then act accordingly.

Saturday could turn quite nasty, especially if we fail to pick up at least a point at AFC Fylde. Importantly, most ordinary fans have not yet given up. Hopefully, that will continue. However, without the Board accepting their mistakes and making the necessary changes, we risk calamity through adherence to dogma.

The whole team needs to go - seriously ? IMO a new manager would have to take what we have and see what can be done. I personally do not believe that the playing staff are a relegation outfit. I think the constant changing of players and formation by a rookie manager who does not know what he is doing are at the heart of our issues. You can say the players should always play for the club blah blah blah but the fact is that countless times a seemingly poor group have been re-vitalised by a strong management approach. It may be that some rotten apples need removing but the whole team would mean risking the drop.

I think they need to go. They shouldn't be a relegation outfit, I agree. However they are no longer a promotion challenging outfit and are on the decline.
