We simply need someone to handle the football side of things

Seen a lot of people calling for us to sell up and move on, when really there's a much simpler action. It's clear the board have failed when it comes to the football side of things over the past 7 years, however off the field we can't argue against it looking alright. Regardless of how things look off the field, it's on the field that matters when it comes to football, and that is why we need a Director of Football ASAP. We also need to get rid of the part-time staff, and Hughes of course, and let the next manager bring in their own full time staff.

The problem is I don't trust the current board to appoint said Director of Football due to their horrific track record of late. The board positions need to be reviewed, and the decision left to whoever is in on the board at the end of it. I'm just worried how lengthy the process would be, but it all needs to be done now before it's too late

We’re not Man United.

All we need to do is appoint a competent FULL TIME management team and ensure they are training exactly as a full time side should be.

We can't leave that to the board. Look where that's lead us.

I fully agree we need a full time management team more than anything as the personal trainers at Fitness First just don't cut it.

Same board appointed Ricketts and that was going ok. But ever since that day, ever decision made has been a disaster. The purse strings have been tightened far too much with good people leaving and being replaced by basically students or randomers like Rob Ogleby. The off-field staff is absolutely non existent.

Board have appointment more good than bad but as FOG has pointed out, off field we have become pretty much part time. Not acceptable.

This is exactly what I mean. I still believe the appointment of Ricketts being a success was a fluke - he couldn't wait to leave. They still forced Darlington on him who's been present through all of this. Also he came after the disaster of an appointment in Andy Davies. We've had 8 managers under the trust and arguably only 2 of them were decent, although still didn't bring the quality needed to get us where we want to be. The current set-up is the worst of all by a long way.

I could write you a long list of things the board are getting wrong off the pitch too! The club is breeding failure at the moment and it starts from the top.

It gives the impression to players that we aren’t serious when they see the setup here. And that’s before they see where we train.
