WOT! Another poll? Based on Dead Eye Dixie's post, I thought I'd weigh up the number who'd like to see Dean Keates given the job after Flynn's 2 match stint.

Whilst he knows the setup and would slot back in seamlessly, his turgid football and incoherent interviews mean I won’t be back to watch it.

Plus he left us high and dry when we gave him his first shot at management. Where’s our pride?

A big no from me.

I am a firm believer in the mantra of "never go back". No good can come of dating an ex girlfriend again and no it is never wise to return a place of work you already left.

Keates now will have to address a group of players and build an "in it together" attitude to guide us away from relegation. How many of those players will look back and remember how they certainly weren't "in it together" when he up and left for Walsall, costing those players a chance at getting a promotion on their CV, a chance at playing league football, countless win bonus. If i was a player I'd be pretty pissed off to see him returning.

Playing devil's advocate here, do you not think that you'd do the same in his shoes? His boyhood club approached him, with what was likely a big pay rise offering the chance to manage them. It was likely his dream job considering he has hopes to become a successful football manager, can you really blame him? The timing was off, but in his mind, this may well have been his only chance to get the job in his lifetime and he would've lived a life of regret if he hadn't.

I'm against hiring him, but have other reasons for it.

I think that point is one I'd agree with HU. It was his hometown club 2 divisions higher. I don't think he left us in the lurch in the same way Ricketts did.

I could live with it as an appointment. Wouldn't say I'd be happy but I could live with it and I could live with negative football. At the end of the day we are in a relegation fight right now, it's all about the short term results right now for me.
