Default SH interviewed on Radio Cymru this morning

very quickly transcribed and translated - so apologies if its 100% accurate (I'm not a professional translator)!

Why did BH leave at the end?
Difficult time at the moment, not where we or supporters expect us to be,
BH nice bloke, sad he left but we needed to ensure we save our season

He got the dreaded vote of confidence last week, what changed?
lost further 2 games, down to relegation zone, not acceptable, need to do something to turn it round

Was he sacked ?
BH cares for WAFC, we have had discussions, but at the end of the day its the club's decision.

appointed for 3 1/2 years with no experience, was it a mistake to appoint him?
we've been in the conference for 12 years, 8 under WST, we took over a complete mess of a club. We've had experiences managers (mills and barrow, up and coming managers from lower leagues (Wilkin) and first time managers (Morell, Keates and Rickets) and the ones who've done the best have been the first time managers, Morell 98 points, Keates and Ricketts around top of league before being poached by higher clubs. BH Win % ratio was more than 55% in the last 3rd of last season, got 84 points - 3 highest point total in our history - so he started well. This season things haven't worked out. In hindsight yes it was a mistake, as things haven't worked out but its difficult to know how a manager would do and he was doing well last season.

What kind of manager are we looking at next?
Realistic - sort and organise the team out. We have a talented team, majority of last season's team (who got 84 points last season) and we bought in better players, we shouldn't' be where we are. First aim is to make sure we are safe, and then, and I don'[t think this is unrealistic, to aim for a playoff spot.

Experiences Manager? Somebody from the Welsh Premier ?
I'm not going to give a hint, that wouldn't be fair, but we're looking for somebody with the characteristics to do what I said earlier

When?
Problem with this league is that it is top heavy, we play most games in the first 3 months by November we've played half the season, and if get a dip in form or you have important players injured out like we have it has a major effect on the season, its important to make a decision as soon as possible

How do you cope with such vitriolic abuse from some supporters?
I understand the frustration from supporters, I've said before, we've been here for 12 years, we've seen teams like Grimsby, Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient, Tranmere, Luton have escaped, but we haven't, we've been close 3 times under the WST, two highest points totals in the club's history have come under the WST management. If we'd have beater LO last season we'd have won the league, that's how close we were, but we're still here, so I understand their frustration. If I and people like me walk away where would the club be? That's why I'm here, I don't like it, nobody likes it but I keep on going.

I doubt this will change many minds/views !

Thanks for taking the time to document that.

Shame it was on the radio, that type of stuff should be on the club website / socials so more fans get to hear direct, as lets face it the audience let alone relevant audience is tiny on BBC stuff.

Perhaps a clip could be made and circulated on the above?

" Make sure we are safe " is that Keates football , you're never going to get the real guts of what happened in an interview like that .

He says in hindsight that it was a mistake to appoint Hughes. Somebody should show him the threads on here when Hughes was appointed; the fast majority knew it was a mistake then. If Harris can only operate on hindsight and not on blindingly obvious foresight , then he needs to go.

He mentions the massive points total when we lost out to Fleetwood and claims it to be a success of WST management. But that team was built on the overspending of the Moss management.

As always there is no hint of humility, or any ideas about changing the Board structure and effectiveness. And then there is the arrogance at the end when he says that if he walks away “where would the club be” ? Better off

Surely to God he should of learnt from Barrow and accepted he needs someone else to help him make these decisions. Spencer does a fantastic job just not when he's making footballing decisions or bringing out his spin machine
