The bit I don't get - and find disappointing - is that the boards don't appear to be seeing that there is a proportion of the fan-base that is unhappy.

Whether those fans are in the minority or not, they need engaging with in my view - a community club needs to be a `broad church' - and not ignore dissenting voices.

Holding out from discussing these issues unless the threshold is reached may be easier in the short term but is not taking the long view.
The board are hunkering down when and if the storm passes , I dare say.

As to if any sort of apology for their unfortunate decisions ,will be forthcoming , I dont know , I think there may well be ,but it wont be very obvious or very quick at appearing , either !

Yep, you would hope the board would realise communication needs to improve drastically and hold a clear-the-air meeting, show themselves to be open to questioning etc.

It really does appear as if they're hiding away at the moment.

I'm not bothered about apologies and finger pointing - that'll get us nowhere other than accusation and counter accusation, fall outs and further entrenchment.

I'm more concerned with engagement, dialogue, planning and action.

I would expect the Trust to engage with the whole of the fan base.
One of the difficulties here is identifying what the membership are asking for.
There is a faction that is against the board as a whole, another faction that targets individuals. I have yet to see a concrete proposal to put to an EGM.
I still believe that petitioning for a meeting, maybe with written questions to be put to the board and published 7 days in advance might get a reasonable response.
Answers from the board could then be challenged on the night.
Something needs to be done to resolve the situation.

This would achieve nothing and misses the point.
The time to answer questions has long gone, its beyond that now given their behaviour and actions recently. They need to be held to account for their deceit. I haven't seen you comment on the lies they've told either.

This is what would happen.
We turn up, ask questions, are given 'answers' (most likely politicians answers as per usual) then we all go home and nothing changes. It doesn't hold them to account. Sounds like the perfect recipe for a publicity stunt that shouts look we do listen but in reality nothing changes.
The only way to hold the board to account is an EGM. There isn't any other way that I'm aware of.

I dont think QR is saying an EGM is not the right process for this but the issues/questions and answers need to managed.

So asking for an explanation of January is fine but what outcome do you want from the answer? They brought in Dixie as football advisor for interviews.

If you want someone removing from the board then ask for it specifically and it can go to a vote.
