In all honesty, I don't think Hughes had ever been in any managerial team with any modicum of success to call on anybody to help him Hence Flynn trying to help him
But, I suppose, if you're more concerned about how much its going to cost to sack the manager,. As opposed to how successful he's going to be.
I can see the boards thinking..

That should of got some warning signs flashing.

Board should of insisted he had full time help
I’m really confused because surely that’s the kind of thing they should have discussed with him BEFORE offering him the job?

Wake up QR! CD has been pushing candidates from the FAW courses since he walked through the door.

Whilst the club don’t want to pay him off (he’s well paid here by the way) the people he has got a job aren’t going to turn around and say “thanks for that Carl but my first move is to request you are now sacked” are they?!

The players don’t like / rate him, indeed he’s not rated anywhere outside the FAW coaching set up. Classroom organiser, maybe, experienced coach? Absolutely not.

He’s a massive part of our woes over recent years.

I think he's just being diplomatic. Flynn has always been a very shrewd operator.

Think he's just too complicated for our level of players myself.

an essential part of coaching is to match the sytem and method of coaching to the performer. Either he understands how to coach or he doesn't. Teaching coaches the various aspects of coaching is not the same thing.

As I said previously, he would live or die by that decision. We know how that ended up.
What a load of shit, these managers are just happy to get a job,if they were not here they would struggle to get a job in the top 6 divisions,as I have said on here before I was told by a player that Darlington works one day a week and makes the footballing decisions,he said Darlington said we are not a footballing team but a running team and that we never practise shape. Please deal in facts not fiction!

Absolutely not! Darlington is a stats man with no playing experience. It’s the complete opposite of what you’re saying, they all think he’s a clown.
