Fans have been complaining for years that the Board don't consult professionals re footballing appointments. Dixie has a wealth of experience and is very knowledgeable about the game . I'm personally glad they were wise enough to make use of his skills and welcome Deano back.Let's give him and all at the Racecourse our full support!

He didn’t take anyone down he had left by then and I think they were outside bottom 4 then but not positive. Accept he failed there but what manager has had no failures?

Apart from the bitter taste some fans may still have about a young, ambitious manager taking a job in the football league (wouldn't we all have done the same in his position?), I cannot understand why so many are up in arms over this. The record Dean left with, as highlighted above, was excellent and is one which would see us climb the table in no time at all if replicated. Obviously we cannot expect it to be matched necessarily, however give the man a chance and get behind the team. There's a long, long way to go yet and I for one am feeling incredibly optimistic about this. COYR
Didn’t get us promoted as he left. Saw his home time club relegated too. Great record that Mr happy clapper. NO other club would accept this

Funny enough, after my "training" post following the Stockport debacle, I met up with Dixie & his wife, Dana, in town. Was unaware of his President position within the club, but of course knew about his playing/managerial time with us. He listened in disbelief to my summary of the 9 Acre Session, before commenting about his chats with staff from Stockport & Maidenhead at half time. Plenty of laughter too... only because how ridiculous everything was. (instinctive disbelief giggles). Top bloke, who is keen to help Wrexham turn the corner, in my opinion. Glad to have him here.

I didn't expect those running our club to appoint anyone other than Keates as the next manager. I for one totally disagree with the appointment and cannot bring myself to return to the racecourse, 1971 - 2019.
