Not sure if it would be pointless. If Mr X went public with his interest, it would be very difficult to ignore. I agree with you that it's not going to happen, but for different reasons. |

The move away from Gay Meadow to the new Stadium was his work and he has made the most of the opportunities that provided especially in terms of financial stability and community involvement. Shrewsbury were of course relegated out of the League under his stewardship but guided them back through the plays offs the season after despite Chester and Hereford being miles ahead of them in the League that season. Has had luck on his side but all credit to him he has made the most of that luck as not sure he would have survived a relegation and selling the ground round here ! He does prove the point that I have been banging on about on this thread that those who want private ownership need someone local who supports the club not Rob Couhig at Wycombe or the two chancers that recently bought Yeovil. |

The AFC Fylde owner started his project to get back at the Oystons at Blackpool who would not sell him Blackpool FC who he has supported since childhood. By the way they are both seriously wealthy, circa £250 million, and very shrewd businessmen. The Torquay owner bought the club so he could build houses on the stadium land and has been blackmailing the local council ever since as they own Plainmoor. Halifax owner lifelong fan reformed the club when it went bust. Seriously wealthy but by all accounts a very decent man who tries to run his club the right way. The owner of Borehamwood inherited the club from his dad. Strange man who does some good work but was once convicted of assaulting two women. https://www.borehamwoodtimes.co.uk/n...tack-on-women/ Just a few examples of the good and bad and the bizarre. Re: Wycombe changing from 100% fans owned
Just to add to my comment about the Yeovil owners this is what one of them told Somerset Live
Priestnall said he has long been fond of Somerset; having relatives in the county and having taken his family there on holiday. He is an associate of Jed McCrory a serial buyer of loss making sports clubs who has a wiff of something very bad about him. Indeed they bought Worcester Warriors together but he denies the contoversial former Swindon Town owner has anything to do with the Yeovil takeover.
