In that situation I doubt the National league would exert the expulsion (if this even exists) immediately allowing a period of transition to bring the new board members into place.

Whereas if the Board decided to resign en masse out of what would only be spite, then I am sure the National League would be right on it.

It all doesn't alter the fact that there appears to be no or little succession planning in place and of to what quality the successors are!

I don't support him now he is here, you do. We have different views.

I think the question in your last line should be, how many other clubs would have welcomed a manager back who left us in that situation?

They don't turn me down as such, they just keep putting it off. I've sent plenty of follow up emails but every time there's either nothing to do (I disagree) or they ask what I can help with, to which I tell them I'll help with anything.

I've since taken the hint.

You say how many managers would of stayed in Keates situation, how many other clubs 4th in the league 8 games to go would of accepted an approach by another club let alone let their manager speak to them?

How many other clubs would of re-employed that failed manager and his staff so soon after ruining their promotion chances?

When he left that should of been it simple as that, especially as it was us who gave him his chance in management.

On top of this obviously his style of hoofball was up there with the worst ever witnessed at this once great club.

Do you think Mills Club Man U would re-employ Mourinho after Solskjaer is sacked?

Can't really argue with that.

But he is here, and much as I disagree with his appointment, the club comes first. So I hope he is a success not for him personally but because it means the club is doing well.

The real problems, IMO, lie in a different place than Keates.

Most clubs would have rejected the first approach and maybe even a second but ultimately money talks, the manager would know of the approach through the back door even if the club didn't tell him and the break clause detailing the pay off would be known. Difficult to retain a man in those circumstances if the pieces of silver weigh heavily.

Very few, especially if a manager has failed. It has happened but rarely at League level. I wouldn't have re employed him on that basis but he must have come cheap and not wanted to rock the boat like others may have. A lazy appointment

When he left that should of been it simple as that, especially as it was us who gave him his chance in management.
Agree

On top of this obviously his style of hoofball was up there with the worst ever witnessed at this once great club.
Agree - sleep inducing.

Probably not but they do have the wherewithal to pick and choose / poach any manager they want.

We don't often agree JND but we are singing from the same hymn sheet this time.
