I thought the ref got it right.

Besides if we are blaming the ref for the goal when he incorrectly gave the opposition a throw in in their own half, we are seriously clutching at straws.

Started well and scored a good goal early on. But instead of kicking on we failed to make too many more chances, and gradually sat deeper and deeper.

Overall, JBB was awful but rest of defence looked OK because Barton protected them; the midfield was slow and ineffective; the 2 strikers were slow and struggled to beat a big defence.

I thought Harrogate were the better team in the second-half, and Grant’s penalty miss and a poor ref and linesmen allowed them back into the game.

Another season of rebuilding looks likely, with the possibility of relegation unless we get our act together pdq!

Reap what we sow! We could be looking at a budget reduction of over £250k next season unless we see an upturn on the pitch. If so, the cycle of decline will inevitably worsen.

Living on the edge.

Tharme had one game at right back last season and did it much better than Barnum’s circus. Also his distribution on the day was excellent.

In my view Tharme has played well on the occasions he has been given a chance - not sure why we don't give him a run in the team.

He actually said more information in one afternoon than all season. It was my first game this season and I actually enjoyed it. Speaking to those sat with me who have been all season, they said we looked noticeably better, certainly in the first half.

We looked more up for it, DK first game in charge and we score in the first half ( It was like 1 in 4 games with BH ) this bodes well hopefully.

Lots of activity from the pitch side with instructions which was apparently not the case previously.

The fans gave great support

The team don't look as fit as they could be, I think that is what was causing them to drop deeper as the second half wore on and you could see the goal coming.

The ref started well but certainly in the second made a series of bizarre decisions.

The pen was woeful and you cannot afford to not put games to bed when given the opportunity or you end up near the bottom of the league.

For the MOM it took an age for the player to arrive, I can imagine a bit of hairdryer treatment was administered.

B Bob has no positional sense, stands out a mile as a poor player.

We should and could have won that game, that pen goes in and I don't think they would have come back

Your first para sums it up.
In fairness to Keates, he set up the team the same way as we had done for the previous 3 games.
Pearson in for Chambers and JBB(unfortunately) for the injured Carrington.
3 at the back looked good and Barton deserved MOM. He appears to be lazy but his positioning and timing are good and he rarely wastes a ball.
Sadly apart from a bright star we were less effective as an attacking team than we were previously. The passing and movement was poor but we should still have run out easy winners.
Ref was a joke- Second worst I've seen here.
Gave them the throw that led to the goal but we were sloppy in defending the subsequent move. Where were Pearson and Jennings when the move started?
Couldn't believe Grants penalty miss, he needs to take time off from pens.
Lainton and Hooper should be fit for Saturday and / or Chesterfield.
