Tunnocks Wafer Cup
If the mighty Wrexham won this competition would we have to take part the season after as holders.

Lets just not then, just in case...

Not if we get promoted... |
Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
Fingers crossed we won't be taking part after tomorrow
C'mon St Mirren under 15's!! |
Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
We are actually 2nd favourites to win the competition behind Inverness and Solihull who are both 5/1 (that says a lot really) with st. Mirren colts the least favourite at 40/1

Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
We couldn't have been handed a better tie - at home to the lowest seeded club - a bunch of kids - if we don't progress tomorrow we might aswell give up.
Another good opportunity to experiment, give fringe players and up and coming youth team players a run out - there were some good displays in the last round - might be a chance for one or two to show what they can do and take a step up closer to the first team regulars. As a new manager it gives Keates the chance to see more of the players he has at his disposal - can only be a good thing - it's not as if the players have anything else to do on a Saturday afternoon is it ? |

Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
I am going and supporting the team, Should be a good game.

Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
I shall be there again with my granddaughter, wasn’t a bad game last time.

Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
To my utter amazement my eyes were bleeding there was training taking place today at 1145 - the second time in 3 years ive seen them
Anyway my point being - it looked a full tilt training and no tippy tappy volley pass sessions which would suggest most the first team will be rested for tmrw. It doesnt take a genius to see we are sluggish and leggy for thr full 90 |
Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
I want us to field a side of fringe players who play well and win convincingly giving those players a quantum of confidence for when they are needed in the first team. I will not be willing them to lose.

Tuesday is not the "nothing else to do on a Saturday afternoon" I was referring to. Posted via mobile theme |
Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
I still don't understand why we couldn't have played on Sunday using youth and fringe players, bearing in mind that Solihull don't play until 29th October

The point being it's a missed opportunity to get some serious money in. Chesterfield would have brought a decent following on the Saturday, plus it was live on bt. The money from that game would have far outweighed the possible loss we may make from the cup game. We are in it so may as well try. But if we lose, fine |

You are a bloody disgrace !
Glad to hear you are looking forward to it since the amazing game last Tuesday. Presumably you are also looking forward to our drop into the bottom four tomorrow and the incredibly exciting relegation battle ahead. Are you one of the Harris family ? |

Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
I will be there . Cannot resist the chance to go into another stand and enjoy some chips and ketchup instead of the roll over dogs on the other side. Variety is the spice of life.

Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
Just a thought but will Foxy secretly go in the stand with the oppo when he eggs on our lot to throw it?
|
Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
All the fans wishing for us to throw it,
I might have no interest in this cup but I never want my team to lose. Play those out of the team and kids like last time simple as that. Last season some fans wanted us to throw the Trophy and the FA Cup thinking it would help us win promotion,, we know how that ended. Good luck to those who are going I may have made a flippant joke of it earlier, but credit to them if they enjoy it. Posted via mobile theme |
Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
Comp is ok for players out of the team and up and coming prospects.
|
Re: Tunnocks Wafer Cup
Also for out of form players which probably means just about all the squad.
