Re: Redefining Success from Failure
Reaching the play-offs is the minimum we should be measured against, every season we're down here.
This season is a right-off because of the string of reckless decisions by the board. However whilst staying-up would be a relief there's no way I can measure it as a success.

Re: Redefining Success from Failure
The longer this goes on the more playoffs seem out of reach. I am an optimist and really dont think we will be relegated. I think we will end up comfortably safe in 13th but never troubling the top 7.
That would be a very poor finish based on summer expectations but we are where we are. Posted via mobile theme |

Re: Redefining Success from Failure
I honestly believe we will be relegated. There is something fundamentally wrong with the squad we have and the coaching set up and this season it is catching up with us. i don't think Keates can turn it around with what we have at the moment and i don't believe he has the funds / availability of players to either.

If we do it will be smaller budget, no TV money (unless FA cup run) and lower gates. Success is defined on what is achieved. The board seem happy that we have made the play offs 5 times out of the 11 seasons (pending 12th season finish spot) that we have been in this league. Winning the league or gaining promotion via the play offs is success. |

Re: Redefining Success from Failure
the board think we have plenty of time to turn this around after all its still only oct, and they think we are too big a club to go down. they have taken the cheap option every time and now its come back to bite them and us on the arse. they have destroyed any confidence and trust the fans had in them. giving stupid 3 half years contracts out like they were throwing confetti at a wedding.im fed up with all the cover ups and waste of money. noone addmitting sorry we got it wrong. they are here to stay, and will not hand over power to anyone . thats why i said in the pole at the start of the season we will be relegated. we are the only team that got relegated down here not to have gone back up, that in it self tells you something is nt right. they talk the talk but don t deliver.

Re: Redefining Success from Failure
Positives of being relegated
Visiting nearer stadiums so less travelling so we can save more money to purchase a general Midfielder. Fans treated like royalty or diplomats with the kind police officers giving us a police escort to our lovely neighbours up the road. York and Gateshead great for a weekender away. Hereford alway a good away day Kiddy five star food Brackley Town head to head with our previous manager more away fans less queuing up at home and away games might never get promoted but more likely to be challenging for a play off place over the next 12 years than we have the previous 12 years |

Re: Redefining Success from Failure
The board and WST have had their heads in the sand for a while, quite happy just plodding along with no vision for the future.I hope they see this a reality check and up their game by giving Keates the money and resources that are needed to get us out of the mess we are currently in.I would question where has all the money gone
