This is where it has gone fundamentally wrong.
Agree with the sentiment in general.
I'll be at Chesterfield but don't consider myself anything more than a supporter.
Over the years I've supported the club, I can't think of anyone who has had a title such as Chief Executive, or Director of football.
Know a few Butchers, Farmers, Builders, Travel Agents. etc. Theoretically with no football knowledge or idea how to run a football club.
They left it to the Professionals , the manager, club secretary, etc. and had a monthly meeting to view progress?
By your reasoning there will be 12 clubs who are run properly as they will have been promoted. 6 who have achieved greater success in qualifying for EUFA places and 12 who have failed miserably because they have been relegated. I wonder how many of the Directors, Chief execs etc have football experience.
I'm not happy with our position, I don't think Keates is a good appointment and I think that whoever selected him are walking a tightrope and praying that the wind don't blow too hard.
In the main I do believe the board have the right intentions but it does need a shake up with 1 or 2 additional members, not necessarily from the trust.

Oh hang on, deep down probably nothing, so you resort to a juvenile response like that becaue you don't want to admit it.

Sad.

The salary attracts the candidates.

The candidates are screened to find the best one.

Having said that I wouldn't trust this board to screen a movie on Sky, so it's a bit of a moot point.

None of your replies make any sense, you need to go back to Spencer's spin school.

Yeah I think I’m with Vambo on this; I’m also unconvinced a board stupid enough to appoint Hughes would find anyone decent!

If you're a £50k pa employee that does not guarantee you are better at the job, but it does guarantee the budget is one first teamer less.
Lost more than 50k with payoffs for Newell and Hughes.

True, but by adding more employees you are increasing the number of potential pay offs..
