I’ve been thinking.....
Whatever happened to the megabucks windfall we supposedly received when Danny Ward signed for the red team up the road? Has it been squandered, stolen or spent wisely? Anyone know?
Furthermore, we survived for years on crowds of 2,000. Blimey, I was at the Halifax game in the late 80s when we had under 1,000. Therefore, now we have crowds far larger, where’s all the money go? Not to buy half-decent players, that’s for sure.

Sitting on it whilst we fanny around going round in circles

We should be able to go out and buy decent players given the money the club has had over the last few seasons.Even if we are being paid installments for Danny Ward we should still be able to attract decent players so why can't we,is it because we won't pay the wages ?

Agents will know roughly what we pay so the better players wont be offered to us. Goes for managers too how many were there that laughed at our salary offer in their interviews?

Probably funded by private owners and loans back then.
To be fair we can only spend what we get in now.
And that is the issue.

Suspect we are holding it to support development of ground etc which normally i would agree is a sensible strategy but right now we need to shift focus to what happens on the pitch...

Were we not told the money would be paid by Liverpool in instalments? How much we have already received is unknown to me.
