WST have been proactive and in regular contact with the DSA asking for possible dates and times which suit best for them. WST have also contacted an independent observer who both sides have agreed to attending and they have kindly agreed to attend when arranged. The initial date muted (Tuesday afternoon) was not suitable to the DSA representatives do alternatives are now being looked into.

Thanks for the update Steve.

However, it’s a big shame that it has been allowed to get to the point an independent body is required to mediate between the club and DSA.

It was the DSA’s request/suggestion which I was happy to agree to as I thought it was a good idea. Personally I’d have preferred to keep discussions in private and work through the issues as I do not believe social media is an appropriate arena to constructively discuss any issues as this whole episode has proved. This is not a matter of trying to hide anything or a criticism of the DSA, just an observation and an opinion on the current situation we are faced with.

Hopefully the meeting will produce an outcome whereby the WST and DSA continue to work together and support our DLO in delivering a high quality match day experience for some of our most vulnerable supporters as we look to improve on what we already have in place.

I had no doubt it was the DSA that suggested it! From what I’ve read from the outside, I’d of insisted on it.

Hopefully going forward the differences can be ironed out, apologies issued where required, and the DSA then continue with the excellent work they carry out to make football accessible to all.
