Most Wrexham fans go into the Pipe Major. Agreed food is reasonably priced and good there. Rio the Ball Boy ( him on Divvy Chat) famously commented that the gardens of Dagenham were very short of grass. Lets hope the pitch is up to his standard. Looking forward to the trip and three points now that JJ is back.

Pride of Spitalfields is a wonderful pub just off Brick Lane if you are in that area; one of the absolute best in London, and reasonable prices as well. Proper old style East End pub with a real mix of people all getting along great, very few of those left.

The Pipe Major is the only real option from what I've seen, and that's really a food pub, not a real pub.

This season we decided to go to a pub next to Dagenham Heathway tube station, one stop away on the tube to see if we could find a proper boozer. Do yourself a favour and don't do it, complete hovel. Not blessed with options in this area I'm afraid.

At least you are guaranteed getting a beer in the ground when you get there.

Te Eastbrook is a West Ham pub. When you first walk in it seems a bit daunting, but the locals are actually OK and will talk about football. Mind you, don't go in there and start to sing Wrexham songs as I doubt they would take kindly to that. The next time I go to D+R I will be heading for The Eastbrook.

It's fine as are a lot of the West Ham pubs around Bow/Stepney etc. so long as you don't take the p*ss always found those places and WHUFC fans fine.

However it's worth bearing in mind West Ham are at home tomorrow at 3pm so a lot of those places will be rammed and/or home fans with match tickets only. Dagenham is a solid West Ham area.

Was it in the national press or something ? To me Rio seems like a great young fan who goes everywhere with them, so I wouldn’t call him a divvy.

Anyway as a Southern exile I can’t wait for this. Last went there when we got done 3-0 a few years ago

Going by train/tube be aware that the District Line is closed from Tower Hill to East Ham. Try Liverpool St to Barking C2C to get round the problem.

Judging by your name on here you look set for a much shorter journey next week?
