which part is ridiculous?

do you think he is physically imposing in terms of tackling, winning headers and knocking opponents off the ball?

In terms of his passing, have you seen him demand the ball and dictate play in the opponents half?

when you say pass to his own men, do you mean anything other than a ball back to the centre backs or square to the full backs?

He won numerous tackles and headers on Tuesday and was rightly awarded man of the match. He's had a slow start but so did Walker.

I was going to say didn't he win Mom on Tuesday. I wasn't at the match but on the highlights there are plenty of examples of positive passes from Barton.

I had him pegged as someone Keates would replace but recent write ups sound positive. He isn't a Wedgebury type DM who runs around tackling people but im not sure that is what we need.

I didn't go on tuesday but I saw him the previous two Tuesdays and he was not up to it. He was named motm in one of those games too. I look forward to seeing him a week saturday to see his improvement. Unless keates brings someone else in during the next 10 days of course.

First full game I've seen him the other night and thought he was decent and had a good game.

Tuesday was his best game so far. As you say, let’s see what happens next match.

He was despite the rest of the team struggling to keep hold of the ball second half and he is obviously benefiting from being played in the role he was brought in to play and getting a few games under his belt.
