Default Re: Dagenham (A) Verdict

Accept the current Board and mngt structure and accept no change

After 45years of loyal support, it’s very sad to see our current plight . Getting relegated to this league was bad enough, but today’s situation is worse

It’s worrying if changes aren’t made and soon - how do those in charge continue to get away with the ongoing poor performance and unacceptable running of a fans own - clearly not, club

Are those who support the board happy with the overall situation and happy to continue as is? If so, I’d like to understand on exactly what grounds

Having Jennings as makeshift captain doesn't help, either.

Controversial, I know, but if we continue playing Grant -- and I see no real reason to drop him at the moment -- I would make him captain.

A more radical option would be to play Carrington at RB and push Horsfield into midfield, which is our weakest area by a country mile!

I agree with Horsfield, he puts a challenge in which is something we lack in the middle of the park.

I would have beought Carra on and tried that yesterday to be honest. Summerfield and Redmond had no impact.

Thought the bench was poorly chosen generally when the likes of Tollit Oswell or even McIntosh could've come on and offered something different

It doesn't have to be radical change. just sensible ones.
Drop Jennings to the bench and play Carra as Captain at Left back.
With Pearson out I'd play Barton, Lawler and Chambers at the back. Get The full backs further forward to help a struggling midfield and perm any 2 from 5 for the forwards with Grant.
This system was starting to work against, Fylde and Solihull, Woking and but for Dibble we'd have got the points.

Seems there are lots of ways to 'skin this particular dead cat'. But does DK have the flexibility and confidence to do so? Or will he stick to type?

If he gets it wrong it will bite us on the arse.

Do I understand that you are advocating Carrington at left wing back?

Realistically with the players we’ve got I’d go with the following starting eleven next game playing a standard 4-4-2 should everyone be fit.

Lainton
Jennings
Horsfield
Pearson
Lawlor
Rutherford
Young
Carrington
Harris
Grant
Hooper/Oswell.

Carrington plays slightly deeper than young, shielding our rather nervous defence. Rutherford and Harris play out wide with Rutherford able to move more central as required. Tollitt, Summerfield, chambers, Oswell/hooper and Dibble on the bench.
